FAQ
Here are some of our frequently asked questions
Are you a charity?
No, we are a Community Interest Company. This is a business that is set up to benefit the community, with all profits going back into the business rather than to owners or shareholders.
Do you provide a guarantee for your Japanese Knotweed treatments?
Yes, we provide a 10 year guarantee with our Japanese Knotweed treatments. It’s simple, if our treatment fails and the Japanese Knotweed returns within 10 years we will return and take care of it for you.
Are you members of the PCA?
No. We employ PCA trained staff, but we are not members of the PCA at the moment. We work to PCA standards and guidelines and aim to become full members of the PCA once we have been trading for 2 years (a PCA membership requirement).
Are your staff / volunteers trained?
Yes. All of our paid staff and volunteers are fully trained and supervised to carry out their work. This includes City & Guilds training & certification and training such as the PCA Japanese Knotweed Technician and Surveyor qualifications.
What experience do you have?
Whilst we were established in 2026, our founding members have many years of experience in the field. They wanted to take that experience and give back to the community as well as training the next generation and leaving a better world for the future.
Can you give a talk at my school / community group?
We can give talks to various organisations to spread the word about invasive species, trees and the wider environment however these are usually in the evenings as we tend to be busy with our core work during the day. The talks we provide are free, however a donation is always most welcome. Please feel free to contact us with your requirements and if we can’t help we might know somebody who can.
How do you fund your Community Projects?
Our community projects are funded in a number of ways, any profits we make go back into the company to sustain our growth and support our community projects. We have a Just Giving page where all funds will go towards our community projects, and we apply for grants where we can.
